Showcases for CHALLENGE SOCIETY 2011/2012
Hatch & Bloom has contributed with four showcases to the exhibition 'CHALLENGE SOCIETY' at the Danish Design Centre. The exhibition explores how design strategies help give new life to our ailing welfare state, while also creating improved solutions for the users and adding economic value to the industry. Hatch & Bloom's four showcases comprise ‘Improved processes for patients at the Regional Hospital of Randers’, ‘Healthy Rebild’, ‘Fitness for the elderly’, and ‘The Good Kitchen’. The exhibition has been presented to the Danish Crown Prince. It runs from the 13th of April 2011 to the 19th of February 2012.

Panel Discussion at the Welfare's Innovation Day 2011
Michael Keissner, Managing Director, Partner, Hatch & Bloom, was invited to participate in the panel discussion, 'Can We Design the Future’s Welfare Society?', at the Welfare’s Innovation Day 2011. Nomination for the German Design Award 2010
Hatch & Bloom and the project The Good Kitchen was nominated for the German Design Award 2010. The German Design Award is the country‘s highest distinction in the field of design and is given annually for extraordinary achievements in product and communication design by the German Design Council.
The INDEX: Design Canon 2010
Hatch & Bloom and the project The Good Kitchen was selected for the INDEX: Design Canon '100 stories of design to improve life', which collects the top 100 INDEX: projects from 2005-2011. Publication date for the book is January 7, 2011.
Contribution to Innovation Anthology 2010
The book ‘Innovationsantologi – 12 forskellige bud på innovation’ collects inputs on innovation from recognized innovators, professionals and researchers. Daniel Holm Johansen, Senior Copywriter, Hatch & Bloom, and Jacob Fruensgaard Øe, Strategic Director, Partner, Hatch & Bloom, have contributed to the chapter 'Design makes sense' with insights on user-oriented design. The book is published by Systime in collaboration with InnovationLab.
Winner of the Local Government Denmark Prize for Innovation 2009
Hatch & Bloom and the project The Good Kitchen received the Local Government Denmark Prize for Innovation 2009. The award is intended to inspire people to work with innovation in a strategic and practical perspective and share knowledge about innovation in municipalities. Initiatives that have created added value through innovation with few resources are awarded with this prize.

Hatch & Bloom and the project The Good Kitchen was among the finalists for the INDEX: Award 2009, the world's largest design award. The INDEX: Award rewards designs that target and solve the challenges and problems of human life.
Selected for 14 Design Successes 2009
Hatch & Bloom has been selected as one of fourteen design agencies presented in the publication, ’14 Design Successes’, by the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority. The publication illustrates how fourteen design agencies run their business and plan for future growth. Download the publication here.
Winner of The Danish Design Award 2008/09
The Danish Design Award is given to corporations that have created innovative products and solutions of high aesthetic quality and who contribute to emphasising the value of design as well as stimulating the use of it. Hatch & bloom received this award for the project the Good Kitchen, which is a holistic service design solution for the elderly of the municipality of Holstebro. As a result the food service of Holstebro has changed its image from being a conventional public supplier of services to being a modern user-oriented kitchen for the elderly.
