u-days App navigating through higher education in Aarhus

u_days_HB_Live
u-days is an open house event where all higher educations in Aarhus invite young people to experience campuses, learn about the different educations, meet with professors and current students, and most importantly give potential students a sneak peek into the world of academia with a hope of enabling them to make an informed decision. The event is running from the 1st to the 3th of March 2012.
As part of a comprehensive campaign for u-days, Hatch & Bloom is excited to introduce its debut as app developer. Together with Woerk we have developed an app for u-days – making it possible for u-days visitors to navigate and narrow down options, set up individual programmes, plan schedules on the go, order meal and transportation tickets as well as easy way-finding.
The app is free and available for iPhone and Android. To download the app click on the links below:

Graphic designer to join our Copenhagen office!

We have a saying at Hatch & Bloom: “Magic design meets meaningful impact”. This simply means that our people know how to use their design magic to create solutions that make the world just a little bit better. You, too, can take part in this endeavour and help us create exactly that kind of solutions for clients such as DSB, The Rockwool Foundation, Hummel, Libratone and Danish Design Centre.
So if you are an intelligent craftsman, a hands-on, self-starting visual wizard, please do read on. But we’ll be honest. Only apply if you have true ambition and passion. In return for your undying commitment, wholehearted talent and likeable personality we offer you a job that goes beyond the surface.
More information and application info here.

Who’s complex?

krydspatienter

Hospitalization for patients with more than one condition is often unnecessarily long, expensive and draining. Not only for patients and relatives, but hospital staff, as well. Too often the patients get caught between specialties and hierarchical structures causing frustration and inferior treatment. Maybe this is the reason for the unflattering denomination: complex patients.
But at the Regional Hospital of Randers this is no longer the case. In the January issue of the trade journal 'Sygeplejersken' nurses at the hospital tell why Hatch & Bloom’s service design pilot became permanent and how the hospital turned its complex patients into cross-patients.

New Year, new clients, new ideas

In 2012 we hit the ground running. Forget fresh starts and clean plates – we continue where we left off in 2011: turning insights into ideas and strategy into creative output.
And there’s already a lot on our plate. Over the course of the last three months, we have welcomed a range of new customers and initiated quite a few exciting projects that will keep our hands and minds busy in 2012.

To mention a few:
DSB  —  Creating a strategic design platform.
Arla Foods  —  New insights, workshops and product development.
OK a.m.b.a. — Service designing touch points and processes to create better customer experiences.
Djøf — Brand consulting and creative brand execution through different channels.
The Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries — Creative and strategic consulting and the development of a narrative and conceptual platform.
By the way: due to a dormant Hatch & Bloom blog, you might have felt out of the loop for the last couple of months. But with the new website in place, we promise to keep you up to speed in 2012.
